Most of the first 40 years of my working life was spent in Steel Fabrication and Ornamental Iron which is really an Art Form in itself. Sculpture, if you will. Creativity comes in many forms if you treat it that way. If you can conger up an excitement with the end result in your work then you have created something. I think that is called an Art. That is how I feel about those years and the present.
I have lived in Colorado for the last 40 years or so except 6 years in Montana up in the hills south of Hamilton. I have always loved the outdoors and spent most of the years painting nature and have been for well over 35 years. Through these many years I have admired the works and techniques of many other artists through Galleries, Art shows and being with other artists sharing ideas which have all helped me to improve on my painting skills.
More recently, I found my fascination with the power and beauty of color which has led me into the abstract and expressionistic world of combining color and shapes to create a canvas which is pleasing to my eyes and, hopefully, to others.
I am fortunate to have arrived at that time in my life to take pause for writing and painting and creating as my mood directs me. There is nothing if you stop creating.
